Our caterpillars have hatched and they aren't butterflies...

...they are moths. We were getting nervous about whether or not our caterpillars would emerge from their chrysalis's before we left on our trip to UT. At different times today we'd check on them and find moths in the jars we used to house them through their transformation. We never did actually see one of the moths wiggle out of their chrysalis's, but we were excited to see them before we left on our trip to UT.

One of the moth's escaped and flew up on the wall. The other moth on my hand was getting his wings reved up to fly. He was batting them back and forth in rapid motion and Logan called it a mini moth massage.

COOL! Were they ugly or pretty moths? I'm glad you saw them hatch before you left. SEE YOU REALLY SOON!!
