After a long, cold, rainy week, it warmed up to the upper 80s today. As luck would have it, the pool was finally ready for swimming today. It's been an ordeal opening the pool and ensuring the chemicals were all balanced, the water was clear and everything was just right. The kids have been so anxious to get the pool open and, to be frank, Heather and I were ready as well. In fact, as I type this while sitting on the deck, I'm feeling quite hot and ready to jump in.
