Today, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo for family home evening. Heather made chicken (sorry, but we do love chicken) enchiladas and then we sang "Soy un chico del Dios"...the Spanish-according-to-Heather version of I am a Child of God. We read scriptures in English, had a great lesson by Emy and then spoke about why people celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Logan has been taking Spanish since we moved here so he knew it meant May 5th. As you'll see in the pictures below, we spent the rest of the evening paying our tribute to Mexican culture complete with a pinata and a sombrero. The kids, and even Heather, had a blast. Even Ashton had fun saying "Happy Cinco de Mayo". A Dios
